The necklace measures 15 1/4 inches in length 1 inch at the widest point. The necklace has a weight of 42 grams. The necklace shows indication of a British origin by its 3 distinctive hallmarks. The crown which is the symbol for the town of Sheffield, the lion passant which means sterling silver and the letter S which is a date letter meaning the year 1860s.
